Universal Credit
Updating your Universal Credit journal for April's rent increase
If you're on Universal Credit, you get help with your housing costs. You'll need to update your journal with your new rent amount that'll be included in your rent increase notification letter that you'll receive in early March.
But please wait until you receive a 'to-do' on or after Wednesday 1 April called 'confirm your housing cost' and don't complete it until Monday 6 April. Find out more here.
Be aware of Universal Credit scams
We've been made aware of a fake Universal Credit app and fake Universal Credit text messages that are being sent out at the moment. This is what the app looks like if you see it on your app store:

Please do not download it and don't respond to any suspicious text messages. Only ever access your Universal Credit account through the Universal Credit website: www.gov.uk/universal-credit
